Before the camera, before radar, there was the naturalist's sketchbook. Victorian science met the unknown with meticulous calm: draw what you find, label what you can, and where you can't, write it plainly. Unknown. The same word the U in UFO is doing now.
These designs borrow that language, the cross-hatched linework of nineteenth-century illustration and the ghost-white-on-Prussian-blue of Anna Atkins' cyanotypes, to document the most persistently unclassified phenomenon on record. A lily dissolving into saucers at the petal edge. A craft trailing wildflowers wherever it passes, more gardener than invader.
They make no claims. They make observations, and leave classification to whoever comes next.
