Before the hearings, before the Pentagon released its footage, before anyone said UAP with a straight face, there was flying saucer culture. Drive-in posters. Paperback covers with saucers over painted deserts. Kenneth Arnold's 1947 sighting kicked it off, Roswell followed within weeks, and by the mid-fifties the saucer was everywhere. The imagery of that era wasn't fringe. It was the culture.
